Scholarship and High School Relations Committee

Welcome to the GUNAA – Scholarship and High School Relations Committee!  The Scholarship and High School Relations Committee brings to realization the GUNAA-Dallas Chapter’s goals of providing support to Texas youth through recruitment, scholarships, and contributing to community outreach programs.

Scholarships

The GUNAA-Dallas Chapter’s scholarships are awarded only to students that attend Grambling State University .  Various scholarships and book grants (up to $1,500 per semester) are awarded to area students based on set criteria (e.g., financial eligibility, GPA, interviews, etc.).  Entering freshmen scholarship and book grant recipients are selected during the Spring prior to their 1st Fall semester.  Continuing recipients receive awards, based on funds availability, each semester.

High School Relations

Alumni members attend college fair days sponsored by local high schools and organizations within the Metroplex in order to recruit future students of Grambling State University.  Schedule permitting, the GUNAA-Dallas Chapter also sponsors a trip, for a minimal fee, to the university for its Annual High School Day.  Students across the United States attend this day long event of fun and activities.
